As the centuries passed, Ayraemos had less and less time to devote to the raising of scions and so the rate at which he created progeny lessoned considerably. As it turns out, Eiuondor was his last.Centuries after the War of Failed Ascension, Dura Shylon, Ayraemos' primary fortress where his lair was hidden, was attack by three Black dragons. The assault was voracious and efficient, targeting the fortress's few weak points and purposfully drawing the Old One himself into combat. The attack was too efficient. Ayraemos was slain, his remains stolen by this assailants and undoubtedly used as some trophy. The mighty oceanic fortress, where nearly every Bronze dragon came to pay homage to the seas, was sunk and the territory it presided over taken by the Black.This occured while Eiuondor was Sleeping, his body growing into a full adult. He had been tutored by this father for a century- weaned in the arts of war, hunting, mastery of the seas, and his own magical nature. When he woke without this guiding light, he became enraged. His eldest brother, Meridius, had been named the Achamenid and had dallied in a counterattack- allowing their enemies to take root in their former territory. But Meridius was wise, having witness many more Ages.And so, Eiuondor was named Aswaran and given liege over Dura Nisubis, a relatively tiny ocean keep that represented Dhiquan Raegah's last foothold in the sea. He was tasked with monitoring the currents and open waters, discovering and planting beds of oysters, and if necessary, defending the territory with his life.To aid him in this task, he named the ambitious Simoreaux, his father's former Kith's apprentice. The necessity and benefit of a Kith was something Ayraemos always stressed to his son: "An extension of your will, an invaluable and irreplacable tool is a good Kith. You must defend them bitterly but always remember that they are not Dragons and so can never understand our ways. To invite them into our world is to invite the same trouble that brought about the War. Trust your Kith, but do not love it as you love your kin. This is the secret to truly mastering your will, your emotion, and ultimately, your power."Eiuondor has vowed to one day reclaim the seas and avenge his father's death. To do so, he believes he must fortify Dura Nusibis and learn more of how the Black dragons were able to break his father's own defenses.One thing the newly-risen dragon has attempted to put from his mind is the inevitable task of finding a suitable mate. There are perhaps less than half a dozen prospects among the other Dhiquan and he does not relish the thought courting any of them. Thus, he has put the duty of mating and procreating as far from his thoughts as possible.Description: Eiuondor looks much like any other adult bronze dragon. His scales are still bright and mostly tarnish-free except the edges of his wings and the larger ventral scales across his broad chest. He carries himself with a regal and rigid aire that demonstrates discipline and focus.He often assumes the form of an innocuous fish or common soldier in order to test the readiness of his garrison. Word of this has spread- as it was a common tool of his father- and helps to propogate a healthy and heightened sense of awareness among them. It was always a great contest between he and his father to see who could hunt the largest shark. Bringing one down was not the difficult task, but finding one in one's own territory was. Eiuondor came to believe in the existance of what he calls The Gulgath- an aging dire shark that predates perhaps even his father's hatching. Already she was ambitious, venturing into the dangerous open waters and leaving her kindred behind. Akalak had been on hand to witness the event and thus took her under his wing as his own.But such an act was quite uncustomary to the other sahuagin back at Dura Shylon. Still, Akalak was Kith and his deed was appreciated by his master, Achamenid Ayraemos. Thus was Simoreaux raised among the militaristic heirarchy of the Bronze dragons, weaned on the art of magic and how her ambition can best server her.“I have learned,” Akalak told her, “that as none of us are dragons, we must become as like unto them as is feasable. To be a Kith is the highest station a non-dragon can attain. Make yourself indispensable, and they will trust you with ever-greater power. You will reap the many benefits of having a dragon as your benefactor: protection, wealth, respect, access to their prodigous knowledge and a hidden longevity of life.”And thus Simoreaux devoted herself this task. She created a tiny golden net that she wears on her scalp which allows to her assume her preferred disguise: a beautiful and powerful sahuagin witch. Infiltrating their ranks, she earned a place among at Dura Nusibis and assisted the affairs there until the fall of her mentor and his dragon master. Ayraemos’s youngest son, Eiuondor, had heard of her existance and prowess and thus named her his Kith. They have since profited from a mutually beneficial business relationship that has only recently blossomed into a genuine friendship.Description: Simoreaux is loyal, diligent, ambitious, and very talented. She has striven hard to attain the status of Kith, even under the guise of a sahuagin, and her labors have just begun to truly pay off. In her master’s absence, she enjoys total control of the garrison of Dura Nusibis, with nearly a hundred warriors under her command.
