Dragon Queen!

Last night I bought my first box of War of the Dragon Queen minis (yes, I buy the one at a time, 2 at most) and pulled as my huge....Aspect of Tiamat herself!

I also got the Cadaver Collector, some nice looking humanoids, the small whitespawn, and the clear plastic fire elemental. A good looking set, other than the whitespawn not a single one had a bad paint job. I was very pleased.

Bought two yesterday.... my huges were the fiendish huge spider (YAY!!! I've been waiting for a huge non-humanoid verminesque critter since the first huge set!) and an eldritch giant. Let me tell ya, the giant's paint job is damn fine. I like, oh yes, I like.

Otherwise, I hardly looked at the rest- I recall a medium black dragon in each pack, the translucent fire elemental (very neat) and a kobold zombie... also some kind of, er, doom fist monk iirc?? I got two of those as well.

So far I like the set a great deal.

Bought two boxes last night, got the fiendish spider (cool, but not wahoo! worthy or anything) and the fire elemental (sweet!) as my huges, plus the clawfoot rider, the stirge, the small copper dragon, and the fang dragon. I may sell the Fang on eBay, seeing as paizo sells singles of it for 30 bucks.

Then I broke down and got a third box today, pulling the Bluespawn Godslayer (pretty mini, but a lame monster, from what I've seen of it) as well as the small black dragon and the Magma Hurler, which is a pretty sweet little mini, now that I can see the interplay of the translucent red lava with the opaque black crust.

WArden of the Wood and the Aasimar Figter are pretty nice, too. A decent druid mini for once, along with another fighter/paladin/knight type.

Poor Distribution in Cases

I ordrered three cases . . . I got three cases . . . I got:

3 aspects of bahamut
3 displacer beast pack lords
3 bluspawn godslayers
3 huge fire elementals
3 purple worms

That sucks, I hope mine are more evenly distributed... I also ordered 3 cases.

I picked up four cases and the distribution was pretty even for me. I'm only missing the blackguard mounted nightmare, the magma hurler, and the redspawn firebelcher.

I did get four spiders, but I can use those so I'm not unhappy.

Uhm...you are seriously miscounting your rares. Look for the Star symbol on the bottom. The Huge fire elementals, Purple worms, Bluespawns and Displacer lords are all Uncommon - not rares.

So you were supposed to get that many of them. Out of 18 boosters, that's about right for uncommons.

What you got was 2 extra of Tiamat and Bahumat. Not bad rares to double up on. You will be able to flip either of em - Tiamat especially, quite nicely.

Your other 12 rares are probably smaller figures. Have a closer look. Some of the smaller figures are rather sucky "rares" - but rare all the same.
