Dragonkin + 1/2 Dragon

I'm looking to put together an NPC and I'd like to know if the rules dictate if it is or isn't possible for a dragonkin to have the half-dragon template.

Is a Dragonkin a living, corporeal being? (I'm guessing yes.) Then it's legal.

You can make a half-dragon dragon, after all.

In all seriousness, I don't think a Half-Dragon necessarily means the dragon bonked another creature. The bad guy in Dragonheart could easily be done as a half-dragon after Draco shares his heart with him.

I converted the dragonkin to a dragon subtype instead of mosntrous humanoid:

• Dragonkin, large dragon (instead of large monstrous humanoid)

+8 str, +2 dex, +2 con, +4 wis, +2 cha

Dragon subtype (Darkvision 60 ft, Immune to magic sleep/paralysis, Low-light vision)

Large size: Grapple +4, -4 hide, -1 attk, -1 AC

Speed 20 ft, Fly 40 ft (good)

7d12 racial HD. 10 +int mod x6 skill points (barbarian class skill list). BAB +7, saves: fort/refl/will +5, and 3 feats. Proficient with simple weapons. +1 ability boost

+7 natural armor

2 claw attacks 1d6+ ½ str mod; rake 2 claws 1d6+ ½ str mod

(Sp) Detect magic at will (7th lvl)

LA +3, ECL 10

Favored class: Barbarian
