The film uses both 2d and 3d animation and I'm not sure it was working. I'm not saying it was out and out bad - I'm saying I'm unconvinced it's going to be very good.  It did look better than the recent production stills hinted at - which I thought were pretty dreadful and should never have been released. Margaret Weis told me that Paramount had not yet approved the trailer that was being shown for general release, but she expects that a version of it will be out sometime in September.  That's not a promise - just a reasonable expectationThe movie will go straight to video in November. In marketing lingo - that means it will be in stores by US Thanksgiving, come hell or high water.I'll buy it of course. One interesting point: I did not see the D&D logo appear anywhere in the trailer at all - although the DragonLance logo was prominent.</blockquote>
