Dragons of Krynn PDF for sale on DriveThru!

Hi folks!

We've uploaded the latest Dragonlance product, Dragons of Krynn to DriveThruRPG as a watermarked PDF. The hard copy version will go on sale at GenCon Indy in 2 weeks, and is currently at the printers; it will be on sale in stores a few weeks after that (early September) and pre-orders will be filled around the same time.

Dragons of Krynn is our last major sourcebook release, and includes all the rules, background material, and juicy articles you could possibly want for the dragons, dragonkin, and dragon-related creatures of Krynn. Well, okay, it doesn't have everything, but it's close. It includes racial classes for draconians, dragonspawn, bakali, troglodytes, and more, and features articles by such famous Dragonlance authors as Paul B. Thompson, Chris Pierson, and Douglas Niles, with a foreword by R.A.Salvatore.

This book has been a labor of love for those of us here at Margaret Weis Productions and for our talented group of freelance authors and artists, so we're proud to finally have it available.

I'm not very familiar with the Dragonlance setting. I have nothing against it, I just never took the initiative to explore it. I tend to stay away from settings that are laden with history and novels.

Having said all that, I've been on dragon kick lately, especially with the dragon-themed books WotC published last year. As such I'm somewhat interested in this book, particularly in trying to understand a bit more about how dragons relate to the setting, which I understand to be a significant aspect of Dragonlance. Also, I'm curious about the dragonspawn in this book. Are they the same as the dragonspawn mentioned in Races of the Dragon and presented in MMIV?

Nope! Krynnish dragonspawn have been around much longer than the ones in the current WotC products. They're the result of a powerful dragon taking a human or other humanoid and transforming them into shock troops with draconic features and a mental link.

A significant part of the book is making the dragons of Krynn stand out at least in terms of what they are, what they've done, what they think, etc. We knew people were already using the Draconomicon, so in many ways this book complements that.
