I'd like to hear any comments/suggestions anyway has for this dragonstar world I created for my campaign (it will be the players' main base of operations and where everything starts).

Talus 3
The Talus star system started lies on the out edge of the empire, bordering the outlands. Originally thought to be useless uninhabited system, most of the empire ignored it.
Talus is a medium yellow star, with no remarkable features. There are 5 planets orbiting the star. Talus 1 and 2 are tiny planets in very tight orbits to the star. Surface temperatures make the planets unsuitable for even mining operations. Talus 4 is a gas giant whose orbit is unusually far out from Talus 3. Between these two planets is a large asteroid belt which some scientists speculate might be the remains of a 6th planet that was somehow destroyed a long time ago. But no one knows for sure. Talus 5 is a small ball of ice in a very distant orbit.
Talus 3 was originally as uninteresting as the other planets. It is medium sized, with 0.8 standard gravity. The planet had no breathable atmosphere, and was covered in pools and lakes of highly corrosive acid. However, a research group discovered strange evidence of inherent magic in the planet, something hardly ever seen on non-living worlds. Another expedition was sent to investigate, led by a half-dragon (black) named D’Kar. He made an amazing discovery about planet, one that changed it’s place in the empire for ever.
The acid on the planet turned out to have healing properties for creatures immune to acid. Bathing in the warm acid, besides being incredibly relaxing, cured almost any illness. However, the acid quickly lost it’s restorative powers when taken off the planet.
D’Kar’s father was an old black dragon who went by the nickname “Half-tone” because he was born an albino. Being an outcast from black dragon society, he developed a keen business sense and ran a large merchant empire. When his son reported the find, he saw the planet’s potential immediately. Claiming the system as his own was no problem at first since no one else realized it’s value.
Today, Talus 3 is one of the richest planets in the empire. It is the premiere retreat for black, green, copper, and silver dragons and half-dragons from all over the empire.
Although a combination of magic and technology maintain a breathable atmosphere on the planet, the air is still highly corrosive and most species hate living there. It continuously burns their eyes and lungs and eventually corrodes almost everything. However, there is no much money on the planet, that plenty of other species seem willing to suffer the inconveniences.
Protection from acid magic and technology is strictly forbidden on the planet without special permission (the acid immune dragons like to keep their advantage). This causes lots of problems since the air eventually corrodes anything on the surface. The most important equipment on the planet is protected by magic, however this would never be allowed for common buildings. The rock on the planet has a natural resistance to the acid, and so Talus 3 is the only modern city in the empire built almost entirely of stone.
Although the black dragon chaotic nature can be seen throughout the planet (bribery is rampant), the planet is run under a very strict set of laws. There is too much money coming through the planet to risk scaring customers away, half of which are lawful creatures anyway. All forms of public disorder are not tolerated, nor is most theft. ANY crime against a dragon or half-dragon will earn you an immediate trip to the acid baths yourself, or wind you up as a main course on the offended dragon’s dinner plate. Crime in general is very risky, and ending up in jail for even a minor offense can be dangerous. Many creatures without a lot of cash or strong political connections simply disappear from jail (rumored to end up as a toy to amuse Half-tone).
Elves and other woodland creatures tend to avoid Talus 3 more than others, though they too can be found there. Besides the complete lack of any native life, black dragon’s taste for elves makes it a big more uncomfortable for them.
The system has 5 stargates, all of which see quite a bit of traffic. There is a small contingent of Imperial Guard stationed on one of the moons, but most people assume they are mainly there to spy for the Empire. There is a large private army in orbit and on the planet surface at all times, and the black, green, copper, and silver dragon rulers have all contributed a sizeable force to guard the system and protect their interests. All in the all, it is one of the most heavily guarded systems in the entire Empire.
Half-tone ostensibly rules the planet, although no one has seen him in years. Rumor has it that he has grown so fat and lazy from the wealth and power that he never leaves his underground lair, and just lies around in a big pool of acid all to himself, occasionally torturing the stray prisoner brought to him. His son D’Kar takes care of most planetary business. He is supposedly the chairman of a council of half-dragons, but everyone knows he pretty much runs things himself.
There is no industry on the Talus 3, the acid is too corrosive to make it profitable, although the planet does export quite a bit of acid, selling it as a refreshing tonic to acid immune creatures throughout the empire. However, two of it’s 4 moons have extensive dwarven mining operations underway which pay hefty taxes to Talus 3.
There is only one city on Talus 3, a megalopolis of incredible size called 20/20. Most of the city is taken up by various resorts and hotels, and this is where most of the work can be found. However, there is a sizeable suburb, referred to as Downtown, for less wealthy non-acid immune residents (which is where most of the workers live). There is also a dead section of town, known as The Hole, where a lot of metal and concrete buildings were built before they realized the effects of the acid in the air. No one lives there officially, but there is booming population among the ruins, and a decent black market.
Although most of the food on the planet is imported, Talus 3 boasts some of the best restaurants in the empire.
