[DragonWing Games] Review copies up for grabs (Deadline passed)

Ghostwind

First Post
Okay, here's the deal. I've sent copies of Darkwalkers: The Evil Within to staff reviewers across the net and no one has come back with reviews since the book was released last September. Therefore, in order to raise awareness about the book, I am offering 10 free pdf copies to anyone who promises to read the book and post a fair review within three weeks here on EN World's review database. All I ask is that you come back to this thread and post a link to that review so I can read it for myself.

For more information about DarkWalkers, visit the product's web page: http://dragonwing.net/Products.htm

Anyone who does post a review will automatically receive a free pdf copy of our next release, Lore of the Gods once it is ready. Expected release date is in March.

So who's up for two free books for doing a little work?

There's at least two staff reviews for the book over on RPGNow, and they've been there for months.

I should have clarified. Outside of those reviews. I was mainly referring to staff reviewers on the Net review sites including here when I said no reviews had been posted.

I'll do it. Its been a long time since I've done a review. As long as your really looking for an honest opinion. The last time I did a review under these conditions they were upset because I didn't give them 5 stars.

If you want examples of my reviews look at Necromancer product reviews done by Grimaryl. Bone Garden Is one I distinctly remember doing. I mean here on ENWorld's review forum.

Send it to

b o r z o i a d d i c t at yahoo dot com if you think I'm satisfactory. Plus I'll probably have it done in a week to ten days.

I'm interested in more information, but I'm not able to get to your site, I'm getting a 403 Forbidden error on both the link in your post and the link in your signature.

As long as the review is fair and thorough, that is all I expect. The book has a very mature theme and centers on evil characters and how to play them and run them in a campaign. The two reviews on RPGNow do a good job hitting the pluses and negatives with the exception that the book is definitely not meant for 3.0 rules.

It still has to be put into the database here (the company isn't listed either).

And did the MR close?

I posted a request in Meta to get it added.

The d20MR is going to be handed over to someone else in the coming months in terms of actual operations. I'll likely remain to oversee things for awhile, but it will eventually become someone else's baby.

For some reason, the server seems to be down at the moment. In a nutshell, the book centers on dealing with evil in your campaign from both the player and GM perspective. While initially designed for Mystic Eye Games' Hunt: Rise of Evil campaign setting, the book is more than generic enough to fit into any other setting with minor tweaking. The book is filled with the standard fare of new d20 crunch you expect in a new release along with good information on how to use this new stuff effectively.

Cool, I'll whack out a review. I tried to run an evil dungeon once and failed horribly. I'm curious about what you have to say.

Sigurd

Just to clarify - the book is meant for 3.5?
