February 26, 2008, Dallas, TX - Dreamscarred Press, the definitive source for psionic content, has formed a new division of its publishing company, Mentalis Design. This division will provide the label for products that do not feature psionic content exclusively, but do contain such content to a lesser extent. Dreamscarred Press decided to form Mentalis Design to offer authors the opportunity to publish non-psionic supplements while maintaining Dreamscarred Press's identity as the definitive source for psionic content. The first publication to bear the label of Mentalis Design will be the Tome of Channeling, written by Robert van der Meer, due out in late February.
Of the news, Jeremy Smith said "I look forward to expanding our offerings without causing confusion on the brand that Dreamscarred Press has already built around psionics. This will allow us to offer new supplements that aren't necessarily psionic in nature, without compromising the Dreamscarred Press brand. There have been too many projects that we have turned down due to their non-psionic nature; now we can move forward with these projects."
