Can anyone tell me if it is what I think it is ?
Is it a coproduction of my favorite canadian d20 publisher with my favourite british d20 publisher ?

Or in other words are Fiery Dragon producing Dredd Counters ?

Nope, these are an all new production...

Aw, that's too bad. Fiery Dragon have done such a good job promoting their Counter Collections, it's a shame you guys didn't try a co-op venture. We've certainly been pleased with their treatment of the Demons & Devils from Legions of Hell and Armies of the Abyss in their Counter Collection.

If we'd had everything in place in time, that definitely would have been an OGL Interlink project. I consider it a "virtual" OGL Interlink project; in spirit if not in logoization.

Do you guy have a brand name for your counter collection besides Counter Collection?

Nope, these are an all new production, complete with 3D judges, perps, mutants and vehicles!

Will they be at all similar to the ones I've got from my old GW Dredd game?

I also agree that there will be some unfortunate confusion with the counter collection title... Maybe we can think of a different name? Judge Dredd Paper Miniatures? Paper Perps?? OK, I'm not a creative-type! :)

Other companies are always welcome to contact us, as you know.

I meant for the "counter collection" part, lest people like Orange_Month confuse your counter product with those from Fiery Dragon.

Well, I appreciate your concern, Nicole - but it is going to have a big 'Judge Dredd' logo on the front, on top of a big Judge Dredd cover. I don't think there will be much confusion in the shops. . .

Not concern, Matthew, just curiosity.

Keep in mind where the question is coming from: I am part of a company that has tried to go out of its way to act cooperatively with other publishers. We launched (and *renamed*) OGL Interlink to specifically avoid stepping on peoples' toes or infringing on their branding. It's my natural response to wonder whether other companies are following in the path of cooperation or just going along doing their own thing.

What you do with your business is just that, your business. I'm not passing judgement.

First off, I'd just like to state that Fiery Dragon is in no way affiliated with the "Judge Dredd Counter Collection", nor does the product contain any art by ENnie nominee Claudio Pozas (for a little something called Counter Collection II - go vote!)

I think it's pretty clear why it's called "Counter Collection" rather than "Counter Set" or just simply "Judge Dredd Counters" -- Counter Collection has a nice ring to it. We all love alliteration in our titles, don't we? At least, that was our thinking when we used it as the name of our product a year ago.

In truth, we've been given a nice ride on some other coattails (Notably Green Ronin, who were very generous in supporting our most recent collection of counters - Demons & Devils), and if the good folks at Mongoose want to ride our coattails into the world of d20 counters, then hopefully we've built a strong enough brand for them to do so.

(Is this the part where I announce our first Slayer's Guide product coming in October... ;) )

Just to clarify, though, these are more akin to Steve Jackson's Cardboard Heroes than our flat counters, correct? I also remember using those in my old Judge Dredd RPG...

Just my .02, but in my mind:

Counter Collection = Claudio Pozas.

I would say his style of artwork has done more to identify that brand than the FDP logo. (Not that I don't recognize the FDP logo for "quality assurance" in its own right...)

Anyhow I automatically assumed the Judge Dredd Counter Collection would be by Claudio... (shrug)
