After meeting with a wizard also interested in the Valossans, he began his apprenticeship in the art of magic.</p><p></p><p>At some point he met the elf who would call himself "Gothos Ebonrazor", and the pair became friends and adventuring companions. The details of their travels - and how they ended up in Freeport - are as yet unrevealed.</p><p></p><p>Aside from the wizarding, Garto is a fairly typical dwarf.
