Ahoke, Child of Wolverine (level 2) Ahoke is a member of a barbaric dwarven subrace that lives in the frigid mountainous region known as the Shoulders of Samrahn. Her people were forced out of their underground homes generations ago, and in the struggle to survive, lost many of the traditionally dwarven traits - selecting instead for those that would make their new life easier. With the loss of their home came the loss of their gods - the concepts of forge and metalcraft take a backseat to the elements and the beasts one encounters on a daily basis. Thanks in no small part to the spirit-bargains they made, the dwarves were able to survive in the outside world. Samrahn Dwarves: Racial Traits

+2 Constitution, -2 Charisma: like normal dwarves, the Samrahn dwarves are gruff and tough.
Medium-size: As Medium-size creatures, dwarves have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
Samrahn Dwarven base speed is 20 feet.
Low-Light Vision: after leaving their underground halls, the dwarves had no need to see in the inky blackness - this was one of the abilities they bartered away to the spirits. Instead, their eyes now see twice as far as a human's in conditions of poor illumination.
Weather Sense: Their spirit-connection gives Samrahn dwarves an innate ability to sense the weather. A successful Wilderness Lore roll will let them predict the weather specifically for one day ("It will start to snow two hours after noon"), and generally for a week or more.
+2 racial bonus on saves vs. cold: abandoning their resistance to poison, the dwarves of the Samrahn range instead select for imperviousness to their cold, harsh climate.
+2 bonus to Wilderness Lore: Samrahn dwarves live their lives in the wild, in a lifestyle more barbaric and primitive than even most other barbarians. As such, their skills are honed every day of their considerable lives.
+2 racial bonus on saving throws agains spells and spell-like effects
+1 racial bonus to attack rolls against orcs and goblinoids
+4 dodge bonus against giants
Automatic Languages: Common and Dwarven. Bonus Languages: Giant, Gnome, Goblin, Orc, Sylvan. The Samrahn dwarves no longer learn the tongues of their former subterranean foes.
Favored Class: Barbarian
(Ahoke's stats will follow soon.)
