Dropping Ambidexterity from 3.0

I haven't really looked at 3.5, and I'm quite happy not to for the time being, but I *do* want to dump Ambidexterity as a feat. How did they do this in 3.5? Was it just erased from memory? Or was it replaced somehow?

Basically, how do I houserule on Ambidexterity in 3.0 to bring it into line with 3.5?

Two Weapon Fighting absorbed it. Just combine them.

They basically folded it into the Two-Weapon Fighting feat.

Take a look here for how two-weapon fighting works in 3.5. Actually, that site (www.d20srd.org) is a great reference site, in general.

So if you have Two Weapon Fighting, you automatically are ambidextrous?

Partly correct. The same reduction in penalties for two-weapon fighting has been subsumed into the TWF feat. However, you do NOT lose the penalty for using anything in your off-hand with the TWF feat and so are not considered to be "ambidextrous".

Apparently this part of Ambidexterity has been completely removed, so everyone has an off-hand, except for monks when making an unarmed strike.
