Druids and Lycanthropy

Are there any special rules/considerations for Druids when it comes to Lycanthropy in 3.5? After looking in the rules, it looks like Druids are affected just like everyone else, but I thought I remembered something differently. Maybe I'm thinking of an older edition or something.

Thanks

I don't believe druids get any special consideration in the RAW. However, I can easily imagine a DM houseruling that druids get some advantage in adapting to the disease, perhaps retaining a better level of control when their bestial side dominates (e.g. keeping a Neutral element in their alignment even when the wereform's alignment is one of the four extremes, perhaps a bonus to controlling their Control Shape or will checks).

The really freaky part is if the druid retains control of his actions and then wildshapes while in animal form.

"Um... The guy that turned into a wolf just turned into a bear... and then an eagle... are you *sure* we're dealing with a werewolf guys?"
