You mean maybe like this: Tree of Cheem - TARDIS Index File, the Doctor Who Wiki :) I love the Druid / Terraformer idea posted earlier as well. There's also the obvious "Avatar" sort of references. --- My character concept - Background for Space Druidism Secrets protected by a sacred Order as old as time itself. The order was at once one and many known only as the Keepers. It is recorded that the Keepers were believed to be witness to the "birth of light" and the subsequent formation of Time. However the Keepers are a mystery of such deep time that their true nature has been lost. As the universe expanded, the Order branched out and flourished. Secrets were passed on throughout the Cosmos and in an instant, the Order, once one and many, was now a countless multitude. These secrets are thus scattered across the whole of the universe and found in all things. True knowledge is gained by the study and understanding of not the crude science of things, but the inner Spirit of the Keepers that is only now beginning to be understood. Background "microwave radiation" is the song of the Order, the burning flame at the core of stars it's beating hearts, and the multitudes of solid matter hurtling through space are where the "Knowledge" has coalesced and brought forth life in all it's variety. There is but one enemy - the darkness of the Before. The Pit without Time and the Rip in the Fabric of the One. Crudely referred to as "a Black Hole" these weakpoints in the vast expanse which the Order both spread it's knowledge and also became are anathem to the Druidic Order. That which exists as nothing and devours the knowledge of the Keepers and the Order. Druid Character Class Eternal search for knowledge and the quest to piece together the many splintered fragments of the secrets once maintained by the Order. The character is at once a physicist, cosmologist and spiritual guide. All recovered "truths" are guarded and handled with great care by the Order. They speak their own densely coded language through use of cranial implants that employ heavy encryption routines and which will interface with both the clandestine files of the Order and with other nearby Druids. Cybernetic implants are not uncommon as a Druid is expected to be both one with cosmos and able to exist in a physical form that can explore even extreme reaches. Some specialize in certain environments (both planetary and deep space) or many and their cybernetic implants allow them to function in soem of these extreme environments. Utilizing their direct access to clandestine files of the Order, they are often thought to be "wizards" by the less informed. Knowing the heartbeat of a certain star, or the frequency of a pulsar, or maybe the movement of the plates on a planetary body has its advantages - both in sheer knowledge AND knowing how to exploit these events to manifest great wonders. All I got off the top of my head : ) Left out any animal companion business, heh.
