Druid's Wilding Clasp

Can a Druid use multiple Wilding Clasps (from MotW)? My DM told me No. I haven't decided if I agree or not, but I couldn't find anything the would say it was possible. Anyone have a thought on that?

Er...why wouldn't they be able to?

What other class could possibly get any value out of them (save perhaps a caster of Polymorph Self)?

If the DM wants to outlaw Wilding Clasps, that's within his right, of course...but it seems silly to say they exist but can't be used by their target market. :)

I mean specifically using more than one at a time. Of course I use one right now, but is it allowed to use more than one at the same time?

Ahhh, I see.

Well, the description suggests that the clasp "shares" the same slot as the item it's attached to, IMO. In effect, the clasp is a slotless item in and of itself. This usually means that more than one can be used without restriction (see Ioun Stones) and that it's twice the price of a slotted item.

DM rules, of course. If he decides that Wilding Clasps are slotted...so they are. You might, if you feel daring, ask for the price to be halved in that case. :)

But since it's mainly a matter of interpretation (the item description doesn't say unequivocally one way or the other), the DM's judgement is the deciding factor.

No way I would let a character use multiple wilding clasps. Anything that seems as abusive as this, probably is. I wouldn't let a character where a periapt of wisdom and an amulet of natural armor, why allow two wilding clasps it's all the same thing.

Allowing a wilding claps and another necklace item is a necessity of the wilding clasp. If the wilding clasps DIDN'T "work" with other necklaces, it would be useless wouldn't it?

Myself, I don't see the problem. A Druid can take off anything they want to keep, wildshape, and then pick it back up... (carrying it may be a problem). If they pay for multiple clasps then I see no reason why they shouldn't be able to use them, as long as the items they clasp aren't in the same slot (necklace and cloak are fine, two necklaces aren't).

Buh-what-blink?

A wildling clasp isn't a necklace. It's a small chain that attaches to another item, like a necklace or a vest.

How is it abusive or illegal? You can't wear a Periapt of Wisdom and an Amulet of Natural Armor, but you can wear a Cloak of Charisma and an Amulet of Natural Armor. If you attach a wildling clasp to each, you can use both while wildshaped.

Exactly. It just allows you to use up to 2 of your items while in wild shaped form. Where is the harm in that. It's not like you can attach it to a weapon or artifact. I have one on my Druids Necklace of adaption and one on his vest of resistance. add those to my Wilding Rhino armor and he actually has decent defences in animal form. There is nothing over powered here.
