There's a good deal of metaphysical introspection that occurs, though. One of the core characters, Kei (the girl, not the guy) has some serious issues to resolve when she discovers that, unlike the others, she isn't DEAD.   Gantz, you see, is sloppy, and apparently grabbed her from the bathtub, where she'd commited suicide by slashing her wrists...but someone found her and got her to the hospital in time to save her life. You can imagine her suprise after returning home to hear her mother on the phone, thinking she's her sister, telling her that she's going to be all right.   As for the New Fist of the Northstar, I'll say this: If you enjoyed the series, you'll find nothing to disappoint you, here. We've got Kenshiro, oppressed people, a desperate race for time, noble sacrifical lambs, separated brothers and a whole lotta ass-whuppin.
