Gonna try to sneak my extra posts on here like this so I can eventualy post links... (I registered specifically to answer this question, I felt morally compelled as a wizard user myself). Possible Feat Acquisition Layout 1: Scribe Scroll, Two-Weapon Fighting (pre-req for double wand wield) 3: Fortify Spell/Maximize Spell/Empower Spell (pick one based on the kind of wands you'll be using) 5: Craft Wand (Pre req for double wand wield) 6: Double Wand Wielder 9: Wand Mastery (optional +2 CL,+2DC on wand effects that you cast, VERY useful esp. if u craft your own wands, causing you to be behind in levels) 10: Reckless Wand Wielder (spend an extra charge to add +2CL on wand effect) 12: Metamagic Spell Trigger (apply ONE metamagic feat you have into wands you use at will, subbing charges for each additional level spell slot) 15: Master Wand - (burn a spell slot to preserve a wand charge, useful to preserve wand life) 15: Chain Spell ___________________________ 18: 20: ^ Just an example. The bar after the 15 is because its also possible to do much less with those wands, in order to prestige into arcmage, making u lose the feats at 18 and 20, to grab Major Arcana abilities instead. If you go Archmage prestige, you may want something like this: 1: Two weapon fighting, scribe scroll 3: fortify spell or maximize spell, or empower spell 5: Craft Wand 6: Double wand wielder 9: Chain Spell (I'd use this on a wand of dispel magic, or a wand of any buff spell: Bulls Strength, Invisibility, 10: Skill Focus: Spellcraft (pre req for arcmage) 12: MetaMagic Spell Trigger (get it here b/c this ist he earliest ucan get 15ranks of spellcraft) 15: Spell Focus: Conjuration 15: Spell Focus: Transmutation (these 2 skills imho, are the most powerful schools of magic) (spell focus in 2schools are prereq's for arcmage) 16: Arcane Reach 17: 18: 19: 20: All 5 of these levels will be used as Archmage, a 5 level prestige, granting you a major arcana, of your choice at each level. Pick according to your spells. NOTE* By going THIS route and grabbing Arcane Reach as one of your High Arcana's u can now use touch spells and Range touch attacks/spells (up to 30 feat), meaning you can now use Chain Spell on spells like Polymorph on the entire party.(without use of wand though...) this route (into archmage) gives you optimal versatility with and without wands. A wizard (even a specializing wizard) never wants to be a 1-trick pony. finding a means to get by your wands won't shut you down if u go this route. Hope that helps! Good luck!
