I'm not here to defend my choices. I don't have to. I like it, my players like it. Everything works great on this end. Maybe the need to discredit my idea stems from a lack of conviction on your end (the "your" being in the generic sense)? Who knows. I'm not an armchair psychologist (or fencer, for that matter). I just play the game and enjoy it. All the real-world experts can do what they like with their own games, I'm not interested in real-world when I play D&D. I want fantasy. I want adventure.
