Dumb Expert Feat

Dumb Expert (General, Fighter)

Prerequisite: Int 12 or lower.
You may ignore the Int requirement for Combat Expertise, as well as for any feat that has Combat Expertise as a prerequisite.

There are many fictional fighters who, despite unexceptional intelligence, are skilled at defence and tricky maneuvers. Examples: Gourry from Slayers, Ranma and Kuno from Ranma 1/2.

What do you think?

personally I don't like the Int 13 prereq; I think it should be dex-based. so I don't like the idea of having to burn a feat to bypass it, but if you gotta, this feat is fair.

How about instead a feat that lets you count as having an int 13 for prereqs? That way it's a little broader- and I have two feats imc kinda like that already.

Though nobody's taken them.

Personally, I prefer to allow Combat Expertise to have either Int 13+ or Wis 13+ as a pre-req.

I found this house ruled feat somewhere.

Talented [General]
You show a special knack for, or have been able to learn to compensate for, certain abilities, whether you learned to put your entire momentum behind your swings(for power attack), show an animal like cunning in combat(for expertise), or just show unusual talent for wielding two blades.

Benefits: You may treat a single ability score as +4 for the purposes of selecting feats. Thus if you had an intelligence of 9 you are able to take Combat Expertise as a feat. Each time you choose this feat it applies to a different ability score. It's effects do not stack.

Here are the two imc, shamelessly stolen from ENWorld...

TACTICIAN (General)

You replace brute strength with cunning and intuition.
Prerequisites: Int or Wis 13+
Benefit: You may select feats as though you had a strength of 13.

VETERAN (General)
Years of experience have developed your instincts.
Prerequisites: 10th level
Benefit: You may select feats as though you had a wisdom score of 15.

My take on this is that I allow fighters to ignore ability score requirements for their fighter bonus feats (and only those). Gives a little edge to fighters that they IMO could need.

That is brilliant. Well done.
