Message: <blockquote data-quote="Mark" data-source="post: 2059612" data-attributes="member: 5">Yeah, that's about my experience, also.I usually GM but when acting as a player in a bad situation is is important to not encourage bad players and make sure you're actively trying to be part of the solution.  This can mean making sure other players aren't interupting the GM, always being ready when it is your turn, even if that takes a while, etc.  If the GM is having trouble finding their game legs, offer to handle keeping track of initiative order or something.  There's lots of ways to try and make a bnad game at least "OK" that you can do, but it's always polite to ask and not to just appear to be taking control of things.  Keep the focus on being respectful to the GM, even if they aren't the best GM, and the other players will hopefully do so as well.</blockquote>
