The recent makeover with Dungeon 114 must have had an effect. I went to my FLGS in Toronto, Hairy Tarantula on Yonge St. looking for #114. All gone. So was #113. #112 etc. The only copy left was a lone copy of #108. Staff at the store mentioned they were blown away at the response Dungeon #114 had. The store clerk told me today. "We usually have those things *forever* The past week, people were trooping in, like 5 a day to buy Dungeon. It was weird." They bought all of the new ones - and then proceeded to buy *all* the back-issues too. One copy of #108 on the shelf. That's it. And they usually have a large selection of past issue Dungeon mags in the store. Not anymore. There were 5 other back issues in the store - nearly all pre-3.0 copies, in plastic in the back storeroom. (You had to ask to see those ones). The HairyT is one of Toronto's main RPG shops. If they have sold out of Dungeon #114 and the splash effect was to sell out all the older copies as well - then Erik and Paizo should be mighty pleased if that experience is repeated elsewhere. Now - to find a copy of #114 somewhere... *sigh*
