Having read it, I think it is a big mistake to have the beholder show up at the end of the adventure. It shows the big villian they have to fight at the end, and if i was a hero and I saw a moster appear and demand one of the children I was sent to rescue, I would do all I could to prevent that from happening, even if i die. Also if i was the beholder, with all the info I have access to. I'm assuming he knows the PC's are trying to rescue and return kid's to the orphanage, I would stay in the shadows. It says the child the beholder is interested in is returned to the orphanage. I don't like it when module writers put in scripted events like this. Thoughts?
