Do we have a table of contents for the Dungeon Magazine Annual?

I was curious if it would include all of the Scales of War campaign.

No ToC as of yet, but I can pretty well guarantee you it doesn't include SoW. It'd have to be much larger than it is to include that many adventures even if it had nothing else in it, and we've already heard some names of adventures in it that aren't from SoW.

I wopnder how they chose those. It is not a series that could be used for a semi AP, like I thought they might do. I do not know any of the adventures, being non DDI, but could someone tell me their opinion on how/why those were chosen?

I have DDi, and I have no freakin' clue why they would choose those.

Well. Aside from Storm Tower. I think that Gabe wrote that one. Or at least, that one was publicized and has art from the Penny Arcade guys, so it's a marketing/thank you/etc sorta deal.

The others? I don't know. :erm:

I flipped through this at my store last Wednesday. In the opening, the editor talks about adventures that just missed the cut due to space issues. He wanted to get one adventure in per tier. Haven of the Bitter Glass and Last Breath of Ashenport just missed the cut.

Bitter Glass is so much better than stone-skinned king. Haven is much longer though. But wow, what an underwhelming collection of adventures. I buy almost every 4e release and I doubt I'll be picking this thing up.

I want Scales of War in three books.

I don't have DDI, but I would wager a guess that they were trying to ...
a) get one FR, one Eberron, and one scales of war adventure in there as a taste to possibly get people interested in said campaigns or to serve those who already follow said campaigns
b) get a wide spread of levels...

thus, they appeal to as big a net as possible.

focusing on scales of war would turn off the FR or eberron crowd or anyone who just didn't like scales of war. same with level spread to get people at whatever level ..

anyway, all that is just a guess.

Huh, that's odd. One of the AP modules? Does anyone know if they did some rewriting to make it work as a standalone adventure or was it pretty much standalone from the beginning?
