Believe it or not, I like Dungeon Siege better than I like Neverwinter Nights! (though I'll probably like NWN once I have another 384Mb of RAM in my system, but that's neither here nor there). Once I had the resolution down to 640x480x16, the game runs smoothly on my laptop and still looks breathtaking! Yes, DS is very point and click, but there is a cheat code to set the game to auto attack. And that doesn't really make you lazy, either, because then the challenge comes in making sure none of your characters run off and get themselves surrounded. I actually watched in horror as all my characters ran off in different directions in the ice cave, getting themselves all surrounded by those magic-ray-shooting crystal thingies and dying like the stoopyd b****es that they were. So, even with the cheat code to alleviate the "point-and-click-monotony" in place, you really have to pay attention. The graphics are luscious, the camera is very smart, the variety of weapons, armor, spells, and items is fantastic, and the story is very interesting once you get past the "Diablo-esque hack-n-slash" feel of the game. The only complaint that I have is a trivial one, at best. I just wish there was a way to add even more variety to the skins you can choose from for your character at the beginning of the game. What is there is great, but I'm spoiled rotten after the Sims. Anyway, that's my two-cents worth. =====O Dale W. Robbins
