Has anybody else read this stuff?

I'm loving it, personally. I'm thinking of starting off a campaign by having some villain bind the party members into a large and complex tontine without their knowledge. 1 in 5 coins vanish from all their earning to feed the contract, but a small amount of money shows up in their packs at the end of each month...

EDIT: and if they find the right people and liquidate them, that payout increases!
