Dungeons of Castle Blackmoor

I have to say that I agree with what has been posted here. This book is not real super. It needs better map proofing, to line up with the text. Also, some way of connecting/coding all the staircases to keep that straight would be nice.

It can be quite playable, but the maps and descriptions aren't always lining up and that could make for a lot of extra work. Other than that...it feels really 'old school' which is fine, just doesn't seem to really have any..BANG! to it.

Just my two cents.

It's really a shame. I think the Blackmoor line is, overall, a pretty strong one (particularly given what I've heard about stuff in the pipe). I hope this one product, which definitely has more than a few production problems, doesn't damage people's enthusiasm for the line.

Well, the "Wizards Cabal" has been giving me a bunch of "fun" and "evil" ideas, so I like that book quit a bit.

I don't see the "sense" of things presented in the players and setting books, but its sound enough setting material with plenty of "hooks" that I am putting it in my "patchquilt" world in which I have stitched together all my favorite settings that are not whole worlds, such as GH, Erde. FR, Ravenloft, Aeroth, etc...

Yes, several of the products in the pipe definitely have my interest peaked.

So do the ones in the pipe for Wilderlands from Goodman Games, and James Mishlers "interpretion" of the WL. Being written as a setting for C&C is just a nice bonus for me. James' attention to detail has always impressed the, um, impressed me greatly, and I can't wait to see the "details" he has come up with for his interpretation of the setting.

Thats all I am really "psyched" about seeing for the upcoming year, other than the two big Necromancer releases, of course. Tegal Manor (which apparently is not getting the "vinyl map" treatment :( ) and the long awaited "City of Brass".

Ahem. How many big Necromancer releases was that, Tree?
