[QUOTE="SigmaOne, post: 6401742, member: 6748799"] Here is what I posted as feedback on the Android beta yesterday: My first "real play" experience with DungeonScape was this past Saturday. Some thoughts: - Once I got past a few issues, the tool is quite useful and intuitive in play. It really pays off by letting me filter to class spells and prepared spells, and by linking to the spell descriptions. This is an utterly massive benefit, and definitely my favorite thing about the tool. I'm looking forward to being able to rearrange the widgets, and ultimately I'd like to see an even greater degree of customizability (mostly to make what I consider key data as prominent as possible [ --- looking at you HP and AC!] ). - What originally struck me as a variety of disconnected bugs turns out to be one general issue --- many data do not update after editing, but require you to "log out" (of DS or of the character) and "log back in" before updating. Changing to the home screen doesn't fix it. I had logged at least one bug along this line before I realized that this applied to many of the widgets. In particular, I was preparing spells and DS was not updating my list of available spells, which led me to believe the Spells tab in Android was much less complete than it actually was. After leaving and returning, I realized it did everything I needed it to, but required a log-out and log-in whenever I wanted to prep new spells. - I'd really like to see HP and AC more prominent and in larger fonts, as they tend to be on a paper sheet. I commented along these lines in feedback thread where someone pointed out that the armor and shield worn don't seem to have any place in "Attributes" and they take up a bunch of valuable real estate there. I get that they come together to calculate AC, but they don't need to be mentioned in the Attributes widget to do that. They should be equipped through equipment. As a general rule all equipment should be equipped through equipment (though I suppose an exception can be made for magic items) - One needs to be able to edit base ability scores after character creation. It's possible to roll up a character on paper, bring it over to DungeonScape through the character creation process, and after completing the character realize that there is a mistake in the ability score. This happened twice on Saturday. Then, the only fix is to re-create the character, which is very frustrating. (Even the "use modification" cannot be used, because it doesn't allow negative values. Too many fields disallow negative values for no reason.) It just makes sense to make this editable. Overall, I'm very happy with DS, and I think it's quite usable at the table at this time. Perhaps one cannot go completely paper-free yet, but it's already proving handy. I'm looking forward to seeing it improve as the Trapdoor Tech team both squashes bugs and takes feedback into account regarding form and function. So many developers seem to have a very arrogant attitude about what users want, forcing their opinions on users -- so I'm really happy to see the level of responsiveness and willingness to hear our ideas coming from Trapdoor Tech.
