While in this a defender may move with in their protectorate's zone and at half of their move speed. If you fail to get back within zone at the end of their turn the stance ends. You also must remain standing. A defender gains +2 strength, +4 constitution, and a +2 deflection bonus. Hit points from constitution increase normally however disappear when the stance ends. A protectorate if behind or directly beside with in the defender's threat range also gains the deflection bonus. When the stance ends you immediately gain the fatigued condition. The duration of this ability is 4+Con. modifier rounds and gain additional uses of this ability a day at every odd level. L 1</p><p>Hardy: A defender gains +2 bonus to all saves L 3</p><p>Defensive Fighting: When fighting defensively you only suffer a -2 attack penalty. If you are wielding a shield you also gain a +2 shield bonus. L 2</p><p>Improved Uncanny dodge: You no longer can be flanked and do not lose your dexterity bonus when being flanked. L4</p><p>Stalwart Stance: Your defensive stance increases to +4 strength, +6 constitution, and +4 deflection bonus. L 6</p><p>Bulwark Fighting: You provide cover if a line of sight crosses your threat range to all of your allies. Also if you possess a shield above a buckler you may use as if it was a tower shield in total defense, your protectorate also gains the shield bonus if adjacent to you so long as they aren't in front. L 7</p><p>Mettle: If an effect and/or an attack allows a fort. or will save for partial effect you no longer suffer it if successful. L 8</p><p>Fortress Defense.
