I like the pre-painted Dwarven Forges pieces just fine. But my upcoming undersea adventure required something more than just the standard cavern grey pieces. I started to paint an Undersea version of the Dwarven Forge cavern set. Here are a few pictures so far. My biggest challenge has been keeping the painting consistent from painting session to session, so a few pieces are darker than the others. I figured that once I have the entire set done, the darker pieces can represent the darker, more colder, portions of the undersea cave.
