I AM house ruling. Just thought I would point out for others, that it is a very odd situation where armor can encumber the dwarf if you use encumbrance at all. Which is not in the spirit of the dwarf or the purpose of a rule like it has. For some reason people have pointed out what the idea of this rule is for. I understand the initial rule (and really like that about dwarves), I was just pointing out the odd situation where it doesn't apply (when it should). But yes, silly me for using Variant rules <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f609.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=";)" title="Wink ;)" data-smilie="2"data-shortname=";)" /></p><p></p><p>Anyway, as stated a few times, at our table we have rewritten Sturdy to account for this.
