These dwarves lived in BlackForge Keep which was the biggest and grandest keep of all the dwarfish clans in Fallcrest. They were well known throughout the land for their craftsmanship in creating the best magical weapons known. Everyone hero wanted a Skullhammer made weapon and many paid a small fortune to have one. They were made from a special metal the dwarves called BlackHeart Iron. The iron was found deep inside Dark Fire Mountain. The iron had an innate magical aura inside it. The dwarves used this aura to enhance the weapons powers and abilities. [/FONT]</p><p> [FONT=&quot]T[/FONT][FONT=&quot]he BlackHeart iron the dwarves found was not actually a metal. It was a magical prison that holds an evil black dragon named Crixion the PlagueBringer. Crixion was imprisoned in the magical stone and hidden away inside the Dark Fire Mountains long before the dwarves took up residency. The evil dragon lay dormant for a thousand years until the first Skullhammer dwarf broke a single piece off the stone. This awakened the beast and thus began the slow corruption of the Skullhammer clan. Every time the dwarves would remove a piece of stone from Crixion’s prison his powers would grow stronger. The Skullhammer dwarves made thousands of magical weapons over the years from the stone. [/FONT]</p><p> [FONT=&quot]As Crixion’s power grew he started to slowly corrupt the Skullhammer clan. Crixion broke their will and turned them into devoted followers. Crixion ordered the dwarves to find all the magical weapons they had created; because the only way he could escape his prison was if he had every piece of BlackHeart Iron[/FONT] [FONT=&quot]back. Then the dwarves could use the combined magical energy in a ritual to free Crixion from his prison. [/FONT]</p><p> [FONT=&quot]T[/FONT][FONT=&quot]he dwarves set out to recover the magical items for Crixion their new lord and master. Over time the dwarves found all but five of the magical items, but these were no ordinary items they were the five original items created from the BlackHeart iron by the dwarves.
