The matron leaves to fetch a pair of smaller hunter dogs. She hands the leash over to Magen and says "They be good dogs this pair, but can get excited and bark a bit when worked up..." The pair sniff the knights boots, along with the rest of the group and bark and yip in excitement, licking everyone's hands as they do so. Gathering up their gear the heroes head out of the homestead to towards where Hunter had seen the lone wolf last eve. At first they sniff around and don't seem to find anything of interested when one of the dogs starts barking excitedly. They both search about the area and then lead the heroes northwesterly, more or less in the direction where Hunter had seen the wolf run off too... The fog and rain continue throughout the morning as the party follow the dogs, down into the foothills and then almost directly west. It is just after midday that the group comes over yet another hill and find themselves looking down into a small valley that cause the dogs to pull at their leashes and bark with excitement. On the other side of this small valley they see three large cave like entrances leading into the hillsides. The fog is still fairly thick on the valley floor and there is a small crop of trees near the northern most cave entrance. There is no movement within the valley or by any of the caves and the lands around here seem to have gone deadly quiet. [gm]Survival roll: 1D20+3 = [10]+3 = 13. They normally have Advantage on this roll, but giving them Disadvantage because of the rain. Then secret roll (for reals this time :)) Secret roll: 2D20.HIGH(1)+6 = [8, 17]+6 = 23[/gm]
