Hi, I just figured I would write down how I think the machinery stuff works in mayor's shed. The experimental engine is basically the power generator of the lab and probably the mayor's house, which also fuels the energy to the eldritch machine, the pumps and lighting, as well as the other equipment in the golem lab and the jaguar stuff. The eldritch machine does two things( I think) it pumps unrefined witchoil from the bleak gate into "the veil" between regular plane and the bleak and it also refines said oil to be used for either experiments or to run the experimental engine. The control room controls the pumping of oil to the outside (I guess ) into either the relief pipe which I guess goes down Cauldron Hill to the Nettles and via ran run off into the sewer system or the down pipe into the colossus hanger. Which is why the characters do not want to leave the machines on when they leave because the colossus will get angry and destroy some more stuff. So the PCs can at this point choose to leave the down pipe open or close both pipes but they need to turn off the pumps in order to not anger the collossus any further. Closing both pipes would be beneficial to characters of the technologist, spirit medium and martial scientist themes so they can get their hands on witchoil for further study. And maybe the gunsmith if they think they can refine the oil into a solid powder to replace firedust or something.
