Maybe this isn't dynamic enough, but... I have heard tales of an ancient beast that roams the savanna's of the southern continent. Out there under the scorching sun you can see the beast from miles away. It hunts the wilderbeasts and oliphaunts of the plains. It lairs somewhere deep in the savanna, far from humans. Nobody has ever returned from the dark lands. .. deep in the savanna there is a deep scar in the earth, a jagged rift that plunges hundreds of feet, but is virtualy invisibile until you are standing on the edge. It is within this tear that the Dragon lairs, returning from the hunt to perch on one of the many ledges. The scar is also home to various carrion eaters, stirges, vampire bats, and shocker lizards. The PC's would have to stalk the blue dragon across the savanna, staying out of sight of the ancient beast and dealing with the various wild cretures, bullettes, etc that live on the plains. As the get closer, a great monsoon rolls in, starting to batter them with sheets of rain hammering down and a flood of water spilling into the jagged crevase. It is in this downpour that the party has to seek out the Dragons hiding place and assualt the labrytine tunnels in the cliff face.. while the Dragon loops about to strike from unexpected angles and stirring up the nests of nasty neighbors... He might even block off a critical tunnel junction and suddenly flood the portion that the group is sneaking through.
