Arcane Strife

This book documents the arcane magics used in the great wars of Shtar - the campaign world first introduced in Crimson Contracts - The Assassin's Manifesto. Primarily a book of spells (just under 200 new arcane spells), this also introduces the alternate spellcasting rules used in Shtar (with a synopsis of true names, arcane burn and wizard / sorcerer sigils), a selection of new feats, and several arcane casting prestige classes. The product is rounded out with a set of four creature templates directly related to (or created by) the spells in the volume.

This book is undergoing final layout now and will be released at the end of May.

Quick Shots: Alpha
coverconceptmockup.jpg

Quick Shots is a book with 20 drop in encounters, each with 2 or more variants, that run the gamut from a quick shootout with 2 freaks in a Happy-Burger to spooky text-phone messages that go on for a week.
Maps, statblocks and enough information to drop them in, without providing too much detail to limit the encounter's usefulness, all are included. Also included are several templates, one monster, and several weapons, all OGC. Maps that can be printed out and reused for your Modern d20 campaign and a bad guy who hates one of the heroes, but is unknown by the group.

Also - keep an eye open for Four-Color To Fantasy - Modern which is also heading into layout as we speak - updating the Four-Colour to Fantasy book for use with the modern d20 rules set!

All from your friendly neightbourhood E.N.Publishing!

Meanwhile, don't forget our two latest releases,

Deadly Games by Brian Patterson (which has been receiveing excellent reviews)
a PDF (or printed book, your choice!) detailing the Society of the Sinister Sport and the Sinister Sport itself, along with four fully detailed dungeon-arenas for play. Lavishly illustrated and a fantastic meat-grinder if you want to use it as such! :)

And

Gnomes, Masters of Illusion (from Dark Quest Games).
A PDF (or perfect-bound book, again, you choose!) all about three gnomish cultures, a bunch of gnomish subraces, new spells, items and more! You've seen those gnomes infesting ENWorld (at least, infesting most of the avatars here), now find out what it is all about...

;)

It's too bad the Big Book of Superpowers can't be integrated into 4CTF modern... <nudge nudge> It seems to be the only supers system that I can mesh with D&D and d20 Modern characters...

Thanks!
Chris

This has probably been asked before, but I wasn't around then. Will there be any kind of patch or discount deal for those of us with the original FCTF?

I'm sorry. When we updated to the new Winux-based software, all previous versions of our products became incompatible with the newer triple-lined parallel processing required for version 6.3. All previous customers will actually be required to buy two products - one to update their system to the newer processor, which will retail for $32.95; and the other to transpose all letters in the original document with another cyphered letter of the alphabet from the revised version. This second product will retail for only $5.92, but the installation of the translation software to break the cypher will cost an additional $.03, and will have to be purchased separately.

*blink*

Okay, I don't rightly know why I typed that. We're still discussing the due date for the revised version; we just finished ENWorld Player's Journal Issue 2 (and if you haven't subscribed to it yet, you ought to), and though the test is ready, I think we're overworking our layout guy. We'll post more information when we decide on a final answer.

Yeah, don't be playa-hatin'. Anyway, the revised version of FCTF added about 30 pages, and unfortunately, the Great Disk Disaster erased the original template for FCTF on Duncan (our layout guy)'s computer, so he has to do it over from scratch. Aiyah!

One more thing, The Big Book of Superpowers couldn't reasonably be integrated into FCTF-Modern. We are hoping to provide the revisions gratis to those who have the original pdf, and if we put the extra material of the Big Book into FCTF-M, we'd be giving out hundreds of copies of a free new book. I kinda wish it'd work, too, but really, the book's big enough as is.

I'm just polishing off the layout on Arcane Strife as we speak.

Beautiful book. Will be a great PoD or PDF purchase.

[light and fluffy sarcasm] Is it truly beautiful? Will it make me weep for joy? :) [/light and fluffy sarcasm]

Seriously, though, it sounds cool, Jason. Count me as a customer... :)
