E-Tools Question - Creating Templates

Have an E-Tools question for the GURU's, and no I haven't searched Code Monkey yet.

When creating a template, how do you change specific skills to class skills?

For the Valus (Different World's Publications) we use the Optional Heritage Rule.
Basically like Nationalism applied to a character.
Suffer a -2 Interaction Modifer with other Hertiages, and get a Favored Class as a Human.
One Heritage Feat, Save adjustment, and some skills become class skills if they were cross before.
I will use Magnus from our campaign as an example:
Rhelmsman
Favored Class changed from Any to Fighter
Reflex Save +1
Ride and Swim now Class Skills
Bonus Feat: Toughness

I was able to do the Save and Feat easy enough, but can not figure out the Class Skill on the Template.
I tried making a 0 Level class, but it actually counted against the EXP for some reason when it shouldn't of.

So any Ideas?
I will be playing with it over my free time at home, so hopefully I can figure it out.

Thanks,
Bill
