OOC: OK. I did some rereading. Here's some points. 1. I don't see that there's another door we haven't explored behind the librarian. Can you confirm that, Erekose. There's no more unexplored doors in the room where we met Lorien Stemraen the librarian. 2. There are two books of interest in there, The golden book of the dead & a lexicon of hyroglyphics. We could consult either or both of those to help us figure out how to penetrate the treasure room or retrieve the ibis statue. The librarian might be able to help, too. If nothing else we could try to retrieve the ibis wearning the priest outfit he's got. There were lots of Hieroglyphic in the horse room, though I think Nezrak mostly read them all. 3. We still probably need to read the two magical inscriptions in the jackal room. 4. "Opposite of the mural, a small alcove is set within the middle of the western wall and holds a sitting stone idol of a jackal-headed man. The statue holds in each hand a stone bowl alight with flame." This was in the sarcophogus room where we found the rods. These stone bowls are magical. Percy brought some pearls back; maybe we should identify them. Perhaps we could put them on the braziers by the horse-head statue. EDIT: Just reread that part, the bowl is like an everburning torch, but can't be moved. 4. We found a candle in a sarcophogus with the evil crown. Did we sell it? No mention of it in the treaure list Post 552. I was thinking this was magical. Let me check. Yes, post 467 says the candle radiates magic. What has happened to that. I don't see that we returned it to Orussus. Perhaps we could identify it. It might be able to be burned in as an offering to get the ibis. 5. I can't help but think this saying might help us, written many times in the horse room: "Thus sayeth the oracle -- in death shalt thou rise up to pluck the fruits of thy deeds." Could this relate to the trap on the horses's mouth somehow? Could a dead person rise up and take the ibis out? Not that that would help us anyway, I guess. Maybe we should have kept Novrne around  6. Check out this hint our DM kindly dropped: Perhaps that oil lamp is relevant? Could we use the insense as an offering? Overall, I suggest we head back to the librarian and talk to him about all this as our next move. I hope he's still there.
