Hi guys. I created some homebrew capstone feats for my own E6 campaign. My players run a Ranger, a Shapeshift Druid (I only allow this variant of the Druid class), and a Warlock. The existing Ranger capstone feat is kinda weaksauce, the existing Druid capstone only adresses wildshape, and the Warlock is out of luck with the original E6 document (found here, among other places). So I came up with some new ones to cater specifically to my group's needs. Moreover, I came up with several capstone feats for each of them. I beg you good forum regulars to give them a look and comment! Without further ado, here they are: Favored Death Attack You can make lethal attacks against one of your favored enemies. Prerequisite: Ranger lvl 6, Combat Style class feature, Favored Enemy class feature Benefit: Choose one of your favored enemies. Against this Favored Enemy, you receive special benefits: 1. You attack that creature type as if you had the Improved Critical feat for your weapon. This does not stack with other effects that improve your critical threat range. 2. You can deliver devastating attacks against the chosen Favored Enemy. You must study a target, which must be of the chosen type (and subtype, if applicable), for three uninterrupted rounds, taking a standard action each round to do so. Then, make an attack against it as a standard action, dealing normal damage. The target must be denied its Dexterity bonus to AC against this attack for it to be lethal. If you hit and deal any damage to the target, it must make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + Ranger level + Favored Enemy bonus) or die instantly. If you have chosen the two-weapon fighting combat style, you can attack once with both weapons as a standard action if you fulfill the prerequisites of delivering a Favored Death Attack (three rounds of study, target denied Dex to AC). If even one of the attacks hits, the target must make the save or die. If both attacks hit, the target still has to roll only one save. If you have chosen the archery combat style, you can deliver a Favored Death Attack at range. The target must be within 60’ for this to work and clearly visible, and you can only make one lethal attack, even if you have the Manyshot feat or similar, before studying the target for another 3 rounds. Special: This feat can be taken multiple times. Each time, it applies to a new type of Favored Enemy. Favored Environment Master You have mastered one terrain type. Prerequisite: Ranger lvl 6, Favored Environment class feature, Knowledge (Geography) 4 ranks Benefit: Choose one of your Favored Environment types. In this terrain, you gain three benefits: you cannot be surprised – you can always act in the surprise round, although you still act last if you would normally be surprised. You leave no tracks in your chosen terrain (as Pass Without Trace). Finally, you can track without penalty in your chosen terrain while moving at full speed. Special: This feat can be taken multiple times. Each time, it applies to a new type of Favored Environment. Extra Favored Enemy You are trained to deal with a variety of creature types. Prerequisite: Ranger lvl 6, Combat Style class feature, Favored Enemy class feature, Favored Death Attack, Knowledge (Nature, Local, Dungeoneering, Arcana, or Religion) 4 ranks Benefit: Choose one additional Favored Enemy type (and subtype, if applicable), for which you have the requisite knowledge skill ranks. You gain basic benefits for this Favored Enemy (+2 to associated skills and damage rolls). Special: This feat can be taken multiple times. Extra Favored Environment You feel at home in lots of environments. Prerequisite: Ranger lvl 6, Favored Environment class feature, Favored Environment Master, Knowledge (Geography) 4 ranks Benefit: Choose one additional Favored Environment type. You gain basic benefits for this Favored Environment (+2 to associated skills). Special: This feat can be taken multiple times. Master Blaster Your Eldritch Blast is more powerful. Prerequisite: Warlock level 6, Point Blank Shot, one Blast Shape and one Eldritch Essence Invocation Benefit: You gain a +1 bonus to attack and +1d6 damage when using your Eldritch Blast, and all save DCs to resist your Eldritch Essences gain a +1 bonus. Special: This feat can be taken only once. Master Warlock You gain a deeper insight into Warlock mysteries. Prerequisite: Warlock level 6, Extra Invocation, Knowledge (Arcana) 9 ranks Benefit: You gain one additional Lesser Invocation. Special: This feat can be taken only once. Warlock Defense Your Warlock heritage increases in power. Prerequisite: Warlock level 6, Knowledge (Arcana) 9 ranks Benefit: You gain Fiendish Resilience 1. Your DR increases by 1 point. You can choose an additional energy type to which you develop Energy Resistance 5. Special: This feat can be taken only once. Master Shapeshifter You gain more power with your shapeshifting powers. Prerequisite: Shapeshift Druid level 6, Knowledge (Nature) 9 ranks Benefit: When not in your natural shape, choose one physical ability score. You gain +2 to that ability score while shapeshifting. Furthermore, all your attacks while shapeshifting deal base damage as if you were one size category larger. Special: This feat can be taken only once. Master of Many Forms You gain more control over your shapeshifting powers. Prerequisite: Shapeshift Druid level 6, Knowledge (Nature) 9 ranks, Master Shapeshifter Benefit: Once per day as a swift action, you can assume Ferocious Slayer form for up to a number of rounds equal to 3 + your Constitution modifier. In Ferocious Slayer form, the following changes are in effect: you grow one size category larger. You gain a +8 enhancement bonus to Strength, a +4 enhancement bonus to Fortitude saves, and +8 natural armor. You gain a primary bite attack that deals 1d8 points of damage, and two secondary claw attacks dealing 1d6 points of damage. Your speed in this form is 40’. Special: This feat can be taken only once.
