In this case, the Belt of Giant Strength +2 could be made at 3x(+2ability)=CL6th, but not any stronger versions. (And this neatly matches the Gauntlets of Ogre Strength, as well.) Likewise, a Pearl of Power for 2nd level spells could be crafted at 3x(2ndLevel)=CL6th, but no higher-power Pearls.
