Earthsea mini series

[Stone Angel]

This looks really good, track records are about half and half on fantasy mini series for me. Merlin and the Oddessy mini's were good but that is about all in the past while. Though Sci Fi is about as good as it gets.

Anyone read the novels, any comments on the show before next week.

I read the novels about ten years ago. They're great. I can't imagine them on film--especially the first one. It's so "internal" (as I remember it, anyway), that all I can picture is this: A boy, on a small boat/raft, sailing across a seemingly endless sea. Not what I want to watch for 2 hours, but I will trust in the creators of this movie and hope it's good. Then I will watch it. Then I will probably say to myself, "Self, you need to read the books again, because you're senile now and don't remember *any* of that stuff."
