Eating Dragon Hearts

Back in second addition, there were some rules for eating dragons hearts. Might've been in the 2nd ed Draconomicon? Anyway, have there been any rules printed for dealing with this?

Check the D&D&Diablo Books. I think the Barbarian in that setting got to turn hearts / organs into potions.

I think the Book of Vile Darkness had info on using hearts as spell components.

Sadly this edition has little on ripping out the heart of one's foe and eating it due to the squeamish sensibilities of this modern era.

Might be an interesting way of gaining XP

A friend of mine uses eating dragon hearts, but I'm pretty sure the rules he uses are extensively house ruled (its a lot of Fort Saves and stat bonus/damage). I never asked him the specifics.

I use eating the heart of a dragon as a prereq for a custom PrC, but as far as WoTC material goes, I've seen nothing.
