Well... 6 days isn't long. Since most Kalashar believe that the battle against the dreaming dark is their own personal mission (and he has no way of knowing whether the PCs serve the DD in one way or another, or else will wind up doing so in the future) he's not likely to deploy the pcs into any sort of direct conflict. At the same time the Kalashar are a small isolated community whose resources are tied up in a spiritual/religious war (i.e. its important for them to sit around and pray/meditate all day). Some stuff that springs to mind: Escorting a Kalashar on some mission that does not involve direct conflict with the Dark. Perhaps a young Kalashar has been accepted to a prestigious school of magic. This young Kalashar has the potential to be a gifted psion but has decided instead (possibly due to the influence of a human parent) to study to be a wizard. The child is young and would be a tempting target on the other hand few Kalashar in the community support the decision nor would they want to expend precious resources on the child. (Maybe the psion has seen visions that suggest the child could play a role in the future but does not feel the time is right to bring this up to the other Kalashar). So you have a standard escort someone somewhere kind of thing, it will only take a few days so the PCs can be back in time, the arcane colleges can make for a cool adventure destination and the character could become a recurring NPC. Other things would be areas where the Kalashar aren't particularly skilled but the group is such as exploring who is stirring up anti-Kalashar sentiment in another ward of the city (psionic divination suggests that it isn't related to the DD and therefore Kalashar should be concentrating on other matters). Or else traveling to a nearby community (maybe for a more wilderness oriented group) to deal with a non-psionic non-DD threat. (I.e. standard adventuring fare). Just some ideas.
