[Eberron] Surface area of Lake Galifar?

1. Has anyone done or seen a Campaign Cartographer map of Khorvair? If so, could you please provide a link?
2. Does anyone know the square mile surface area of Lake Galifar in the Eldeen Reaches? I just now got around to looking at that. 'Inland Sea' is a better term; just eyeballing it, it's bigger than Lake Superior, Lake Michigan and probably Lake Huron combined.

Heh, you're right. It's about 500 miles across east-west, and 300 miles north-south. I guess it's about the same size as the Caspian Sea (which is, scientifically speaking, a lake, and only called a sea by tradition), maybe a little smaller? Call it 125,000 square miles.

That's not counting the Silver Lake to the south.

The Great Lakes combined are less than 95,000 square miles.

ProFantasy did as part of the Eberron Interactive Atlas. Unfortunately, the delays for the project combined with WotC pulling Code Monkey's license (they were the company to release it) have torpedoed the project.

Remember, that Eberron is a sphere. That means that a flat map is going to have distortions the closer you get to the poles. That means Lake Galifar is likely quite a bit smaller than it looks.

I wonder if WotC could be persuaded to release an extra special Eberron globe... Spin the globe, " The next adventure is going to be placed.... HERE! " :D

Boy, I could use that snarling teeth-gnashing 'smilie' right about now. Grr. Stuff like that needs to be out for their second 'flagship' setting. That, and a decent large poster-sized detail map. Bigger and more detailed than the one that was in Dungeon.

The Eberron DM's Screen has a foldout poster-sized map that I'm pretty fond of - not sure if that meets your need or not, though. They also have a large (32" x 20") map on their website if you have access to a big honking printer.

*edit* Linkification: Khorvaire Poster Map

This is just speculation on my part, but I suspect this sort of thing is why WotC pulled the license from CMP. According to ProFantasy people the maps were done by July. I'm almost certain the key elements of the viewer would have been ProFantasy. Even so, they couldn't get this product out by GenCon? In fact, they didn't get it out in the months between GenCon and WotC pulling their license.

As Anti-Sean said, the DM Screen. The map is great (if not very customizable).

I had no idea. Thank you very much!

As a matter of fact, I do.... Hmm.
