[Eberron] Warforged Barbarians

I picked up a copy of Races of Eberron. The book is quite good. The best parts being the chapters on Warforged and Shifters. In the Warforged chapter the author mentions that they make good Barbarians. He also mentions that the Adamantium Body Feat offers the WF a better AC than most Barbarians are likely to achieve. And that the Barbarians increased movement helps to offset the penalty to speed imposed by that Feat. Except... the AB Feat is considered to be heavy armour, which means the Barbarian doesn't get a movement increase while using heavy armour... So, is RoE just plain out wrong?

I have a character concept for a WF unit trained to charge in and take out polearms. To clear a path for the cavalry. I thought that Barbarians would be a good choice.

It seems the RoE is wrong. The AB body feat is considered heavy armor and Barbarians don't get Fast Movement in heavy armor.

Looks like it. I think they meant Mithral Body. That counts as medium armor, which doesn't prevent a barbarian from using fast movement.

They mention MB as a good option for a WF Barbarian that is looking for a faster style of combat. Since both Feats are mentioned in the passage I got confused even further...

That can't possibly be correct. It's quite clear that Adamantine Body is heavy armor and that Barbarians don't get Fast Movement in heavy armor. It has to be an errata item.

Is there even errata for RoE yet? The book was just released...

I wish that WoTC would hire an editor...

Actualy, Mithril Body counts as light armor, since Mitril lowers the type of armor by 1. It says so in the feat.

There is also the possibility that a WB would take the feat and just soak up the loss of a relatively minor class feature...

That is true, but it actually specifies in the book that it's a good idea because the fast movement of the Barbarian makes up for the speed loss caused by the Adamantine Body feat.

I don't think it means Mithral Body instead of Adamantine Body. It says "[t]he barbarian speed bonus offsets the slower speed imposed by that feat" and refers specifically to AB. It then goes on to say that Mithral Body is better for a dextrous character.
