Aridha and Zanword Looking slightly confused Jaroo asks the duo to follow him as he turns towards the grove, the black bear ranging ahead and finding a spot to lay under a tree. He takes them to a small spiders web woven between two bushes. "See here," he says pointing to the arrangement. "This is nature in balance. Both the spider and the plants flourish and live. There is no reason to kill this spider or destroy his home." He waves his hand over the web and suddenly the spider starts to multiply. Sudden a dozen or more small spiders start to swarm one of the bushes weaving web upon web until the bush is covered from top to bottom in a white cocoon of webbing. "And now the balance is broken. The bush no longer thrives. And soon the spiders will move on and not take their webs with them. You see nothing needs to be destroyed unless to do so would resort the balance." As he says this flames erupt from his hands and the webs start to burn away. Leaving the healthy bush and single web behind. Aridha and Zanword leave the grove knowing they will need to see what the spiders of Deklo Grove are doing to the balance. Continuing onward they are slightly confused to find the carpenters shop closed up. But encountering the same thing at the wainwrights shop is a true mystery. As Aridha peaks into the windows trying to find someone, a man in leathers and carrying a longsword informs them that it is Godsday, and the carpenter and wainwright are both followers of St. Cuthbert. The lone warrior identifies himself as one of Burne's Badgers, and when he finds out that he is talking to the Captain Blackpearl, he immediately offers his services as a guide to show the good Captain the rest of the town. And everything starts out all right, save for the young man telling everyone he meets that he is escorting Captain Blackpearl around the town personally. Before long there is a small crowd of people following Aridha and Zanword. At the trading post everyone can barely fit and yet they still try and cram their way in. Deciding they can get nothing else done today they head back to the Inn of the Welcome Wench, entourage in tow.
