Hey ENWorld,

I have to admit that I don't drop by here as often as I used to. The reason is that I'm on Facebook and that keeps me busy enough, and I've just generally been busy. I now work as a Narrative Designer in the video game field. Yes, it is a dream come true for me, and yes, I'm very happy. Unfortunately that means that I haven't been writing a great deal of tabletop RPG material of late. Although my heart remains very much tied to tabletop, I've been enjoying it as a player rather than a writer lately.

I've also been working on a novel called Echoes of Olympus. People have asked me to describe what it's about, and I've been fairly quiet about it until now, but I have figured out how to describe it in one sentence: Think Clash of the Titans meets HBO's Rome by way of H.P. Lovecraft.

The full book isn't released yet, but I do have the first 70 pages available for download via Smashwords: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/102398 If you like to read, I'd be thrilled if you decide to check it out.

A few things you should be aware of:
1. There is some mature content, but that isn't the focus of the book.
2. It is available for the kindle here: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Echoes-Olympus-Novella-ebook/dp/B0063VOKYW/ref=sr_1_1580?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1320680985&sr=1-1580"]Amazon.com: Echoes of Olympus: A Novella eBook: Darrin L. Drader: Kindle Store[/ame] however, I'm still working with Amazon to try to get it dropped down to the low, low price of $0.00. You do have my permission to download a copy from Smashwords and convert it to your preferred format.
3. I'd be interested in any feedback you have.

I'm definitely impressed by the number of downloads of my novel that I've had since this was released a week ago. With all the downloads from the various sources I have added together, we're at about double the number I had projected by this time. What I'd be grateful for at this point are any reviews folks might want to write. They need not be overly lengthy or detailed. Just go back to the place you downloaded it from and let me and everyone else know your what your general impressions are.

Thanks again for all the support so far.
