For this character I just chose some stats. Used the variant rules from unearthed arcana to reduce her ECL level to zero, so she now gains levels normally. Read Magic is now a class ability that can be used at will for all spell-casters. Knowledge Dungeoneering is replaced by Knowledge dungeons. Same effects, just shorter spelling. There are no longer any cross-class skills (House rule). They are just skills and can be learned if the character has the appropriate background for it and the DM approves.

Katrina is a beautiful, 6ft tall woman who looks like she is in her early to mid twenties. She is slender and graceful, with the deceptively muscular build of one who is used to working out of doors. Her waist length, light brown hair is normally braided. She tends to favor loose, comfortable, well-made clothing and dresses reasonably for whatever situation she is in.
BACKGROUND
She was found unconscious by a band of nomads in the middle of a ruined temple, surrounded by dead clerics of Cyric, obviously killed by her hand. The nomads took her to a local temple of Selune where she was healed of her wounds. However, she never quite managed to regain all of her memory and had to start anew. The nomads who took her in trained her as a ranger and she served her adopted clan well, eventually heading out on her own.
Katrina was soon discovered by a priest-mage of Mystra, who convinced her to apprentice to him. She found that she had a talent for wizardry and advanced quickly under his tutelage. The priest-mage was in fact a Harper and together they had many adventures. They parted as friends, and Katrina is once again wandering, looking for her past.
