Eden's d20 status?

So does anyone know if Eden's new Buffy RPG is sucking the life out of the d20 material? Don't get me wrong, CJ Carella has been blamed for a fair share of late products by a few companies and Eden isn't well known for their timeliness (Conspiracy X GURPS... about 1 year late eh? ;-)) but with the lack of detailed information in AEG's War, I was really looking forward to their Fields of War book, and the prievew of their Monster book is impressive, and their previous viginette books were pretty decent so I was looking forward to the next one.

Any info? Their web site is pretty static in this field.

There are different people working on Buffy and the d20 stuff. Last I heard, the monster book was going to go to the printer any day now. Fields of Blood will be a while - it's still coming, but not too soon.

Personally, I blame Akrasia.

I think Eden has always looked at d20 as something of a side-project (at best).

So, I wouldn't be surprised if future d20 stuff gets put on the back burner.

Whether Buffy is affecting releases, I don't think so. I believe the Liber will be the next book to go to press. Then Waysides, then the Book of War.

I could blame the lateness of our d20 stuff on a bunch of things, but the real reason things are so late is that the Liber took about 18 months longer to do than I thought it would. That was back when I thought I could do it all myself and when I thought doing so was desirable.

And, of course, at this stage with Eden everything competes with everything at the printing stage. But once Buffy comes out, once the Liber is out and the d20 line is making money, we should be able to send a book to press as soon as it's ready. That'll be nice. :)

That sounds cool, Matt.

FWIW, I really enjoyed the first two vignette books and look forward to seeing Secrets of the Ancients in stores.

Not to mention Waysides...

Is there a table of contents, outlines, bonus goodies or any other material to satiate the d20 appeitite for Eden products? Will future Eden products be all OGL as well? One of the things I've been very pleased at with Bastion is all the text, not just stat blocks, is OGL.

We may keep opening our Vingette books, I don't know. But the big prestige books will not be 100% open. We're opening enough of the books so you'll be able to reference them in your products, but to really use them the end user needs our book.
