He'd probably fuss at me for toasting him with a Pepsi rather than a good beer, but I am certain he appreciates our thoughts.

If it offends some ENWorlder's to remind people of Gary's birthday, I'm sorry but it's okay to mourn and remember from time to time. Especially since he gave a lot of people joy here directly, from answering questions to the really fun game with the Mods.

I think anyone who is prepared to partake in thread-after-thread-after-thread of questions and answers, 30 + years after some of the books he's answering questions on and the campaigns were run, is a very giving person.
