Hello all,

Our next Races of Legend installment, Eldest Sons: The Essential Guidebook to Elves, will be available in late Sept. This 96 page resource details the race of Elves and serves as both a player character resource loaded with crunchy bits, and also as a Gamemaster's toolkit filled with ideas on how to make Elves your own, to make them something more than the Player's Handbook provides for.

The curious can view the cover at www.paradigmconcepts.com

This product is half of the latest OGL Interlink project done in cooperation with Green Ronin Publishing. Wrath & Rage: A Guidebook to Orcs and Half-Orcs is an 80 page counterpart to Eldest Sons.

Hello Joe,

The vast majority of the book is written in a very generic vein. Shawn and Dina Havranek have done an outstanding job delving into the physical and psycological aspects of the Elves in a fun and easy to read manner.

There will be a short (About 9,000 words) seperate section on the Elves of Arcanis detailing the city of Seramas for all our Arcanis fans out there.

Best,

After reading through Lords of the Peaks, I was impressed with the all purpose feel of the book.

However, Lords of the Peaks is aimed squarely at the GM. Will Eldest Sons have more a player focus since it's a pc race?

Lords of the Peaks is a GMs toolkit, designed to aid game masters in making Giants something more than what the Monster Manual provides. It does have some useful player information, but it is aimed at the GM.

Eldest Sons on the other hand is a resource for both the GM and the player. Not only can GMs use Eldest Sons to make their Elves more memorable, but player character options are the order of the day when it comes to crunchy bits!

Arcanis Fans will also see some information upon the Elorii as we use our Elvish variation as an illustrative example of making a "standard" fantasy race unique to a campaign.

Sounds like it should be campaign shaping.

One of the things I liked about Arcanis was the myth of how the dwarves came to be and how it helped shape the poor realtions between the two races.
